Released in March 1934, Playful Pluto was the first cartoon in which Pluto had a major role. It was directed by Burt Gillett. Disney published some of their shorts on Blu-ray, but most of them are hidden away in a maze of menus, when they really could and should be taking front stage. The current Disney board doesn’t seem too fond of the Disney Treasures line though. Warner Bros is currently releasing their old cartoons in HD (cleaned up, but film grain intact, which, in my opinion, is absolutely the way to go) . If you want the same from Disney, why not send them an e-mail stating so? If enough people do this, they might! This particular short is on the Snow White Diamond Edition BD.
