Disney Epic Mickey is an action-adventure platforming game for the Wii console that sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey of creativity and discovery. As Mickey, the player is propelled into Wasteland, an alternate world made up of Disney’s forgotten creative efforts, and is given the power to wield paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world while determining Mickey’s path to becoming an epic hero. Through the use of this unique paint and paint thinner, the key components of animation and Mickey’s tools for impacting his world, players will have the ability to shape how the story unfolds as they discover the concept of “Playstyle Matters” — an innovative style of gameplay created by Disney Interactive Studios’ Junction Point, led by industry luminary Warren Spector, where players creatively tackle different challenges in the world to explore all the possibilities and storylines — but with consequences for their chosen actions.

Comparing Epic Mickey to Kingdom Hearts:
Wasteland=The World That Never Was
Forgotten Characters=Nobdies? or Heartlesses
Blot=Xemnas or Maleficent
Oswald=DiZ or (good) Ansem
Mickey=Sora
Different areas based off movies=same thing in KH
Hm….at first, I didn’t see what people were saying about this game being a lot like KH, but now I do.

I agree. It reminds me of the passion games in the SNES era used to have. You should have seen Dave Perry gush over Earthworm Jim for? example. 🙂

Kingdom Hearts fans really annoy me. -_- There was a Disney before KH was released. You kids seriously are uncultured as hell. I love Japan, and Anime and all that it was. I watched it since the 80’s. I played the Final Fantasies as they were released. I enjoy the worlds of Square, but I also enjoyed the world of Disney for what it was. Since I saw the Black Cauldron as a child and every Disney production ever made. You should enjoy? Disney for what all it is, and not just because of a sidestory.

They should? put the Wasteland in Kingdom Hearts! I mean, the whole ‘Heart’ concept is identical to KH’s, and knowing Sora he might actually find (or messed up) the Wasteland.
