The darkride based on the story of Pinocchio in Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris. Pinocchio’s Daring Journey is a dark ride at the Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Park (Paris) theme parks. Located in Fantasyland, this ride is based on Disney’s animated film version of the classic story, which was the studio’s second animated feature film. Stromboli’s marionette show is also featured in the attraction, in which guests are inside a giant cage. The version in Disneyland was the first attraction created by Disney to use holographic material, which appears on hand held mirror, in the scene where the boys turn into donkeys on Pleasure Island. The Pepper’s Ghost illusion (used extensively in the Haunted Mansion) is used when the Blue Fairy disappears, leaving a pile of fiber-optic fairy dust on the floor. This ride’s history actually begins in 1976, when it was decided to remove the old Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland and shoehorn the ride into it. It was originally intended for the guests to ride in cars designed to resemble Geppetto’s wood-carved toys. However, it was all put in storage for a while before being revived for the opening of Tokyo Disneyland in 1983. It then came to Disneyland a month and a half later as part of the complete overhaul of Fantasyland. Just as originally planned, the one in Disneyland is where the Fantasyland Theater originally stood, with a weathervane that looks like Monstro the Whale. Enjoy !! Disney’s 20th Anniversary Celebration Train by www.dlrpmagic.com Disneyland Paris at the click of a mouse! The Disney VIPs arrive at Disneyland Paris on-board Disney’s 20th Anniversary Celebration Train, a multi-coloured Casey Jr. who trundles along Main Street, USA to Central Plaza, where the characters climb down to meet their fans. For this anniversary year, the stars wear their brand new costumes and the train is loaded with only the most famous, classic Disney characters: Donald Duck and Daisy Duck, Chip n Dale with their friend Clarice, Pluto, Goofy and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse themselves! After being created as a Dumbo float in The Wonderful World of Disney Parade in 1998, this unit returned to the park as Disney Characters’ Express for the 15th Anniversary in 2007. In 2009, it became Minnie’s Party Train, followed by Disney All-Stars Express in 2010. In 2011, for Disney Magical Moments Festival, it became host to the Disney Dance Express street show. Mickey and Pluto make a 15 minute stop-over in Belém, Brazil on their way to Rio de Janeiro. There, Mickey plays fetch with Pluto, but the ball becomes lost in the jungle and Pluto mistakes a rolled up armadillo for it. Mickey and Pluto accidentally take the armadillo along with them when the plane leaves again. (Last appearance of Mickey’s red shorts until Runaway Brain (1995).)
