Beginning Feb. 29, 2012 and continuing through to March 1, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World remained open for 24 hours to commemorate the added date for Leap Year. Just after 1 am a DJ dance party broke out in front of Cinderella Castle where hundreds of guests gathered to dance the early morning hours away, continuing until nearly 5 am Donald Duck, Goofy, and Pluto joined in the dancing with floats, dancers, and stilt walkers from the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party. Songs played at the dance party shown here include Baby by Justin Bieber, What Time Is It? from High School Musical, and the Enchanted Tiki Room version of the Macarena.

Dressed in costumes that represent more than 100 nations, the dolls sing the “it’s a small world” song lyrics in 5 languages. Boundaries dissolve and continents are connected by this singular song. After all, this attraction—first designed for the 1964 New York World’s Fair—has Walt Disney’s personal touch.
