Memory of still-unaware-as-why
(I edited the memory for length here’s the original)
Okay okay okay, this is one of my all time favorite memories from all of our Disneyland trips. I seriously want to cry just thinking about it, it was wonderful! So basically my family (mom, dad, brother, and me!) were going to Disneyland for the third time, making me about eight or nine years old. My mom and brother had gone back to the hotel, but my dad and I stayed in the park for Fantasmic! Almost as it ending, my dad and I got in line for The Haunted Mansion, which had an insanely long line. I mean the entire queue was filled up. So anyway, we hopped in line and by the time we had been on the ride and exited, the park had been closed for a while. It was nearly empty aside from the guests who had done the same thing we did. As we walked out we saw cats (yes, cats!), and on Main Street, Pluto was sitting on a bench all by himself. No handlers, no other kids, he was just sitting on a bench taking a Pluto nap. So I walked up and sat next to him and patted his paw, and he gave me a kiss on the cheek. Then he pointed to my shirt (which had Mickey Mouse on it), and nodded like he approved, I just smiled. Basically we sat there for about ten minutes just watching people walk past (nobody else stopped because there weren’t a lot of kids in the park that late). So basically I just got to hang out with Pluto and my dad for like ten minutes, and then we got up and I gave him a hug and my dad and I left. And it was wonderful.
