Il fatto che sia ambientato tra le nebbie portuali di una nave da guerra (forse l’ultimo riferimento bellico di sempre), il fatto che l’animaletto con cui Pluto ha a che fare, un topo che vuole rubare dalla dispensa della nave, è tratteggiato in maniera volutamente sgradevole e beffarda, il fatto che Pluto si faccia “corrompere” dal topo e finisca poi in prigione al suo posto, sono elementi che mettono un delizioso senso di disagio, inedito per un corto di Pluto. Se a questo si aggiungono animazioni e ambientazioni molto curate, ne viene fuori un buonissimo cortometraggio assai superiore alla media di questa serie.
