Walt Disney French. Les Quintuplés de Pluto (Pluto’s Quin-puplets en VO) est un court-métrage d’animation américain des studios Disney, sorti le 26 novembre 1937, avec Pluto. Alors que Pluto voulait poursuivre le livreur de charcuterie, Fifi parvient à le convaincre de garder leurs cinq chiots. Les cinq rejetons sont très joueurs et finissent par entrer dans le sous-sol de la maison. Ils jouent avec les objets qui s’y trouvent dont une bouteille d’air comprimé et de la peinture. Fifi revient et découvre Pluto saoul et peinturluré, ce qui la met en colère. Ce film est le premier de la série Pluto. Le générique indique Pluto the Pup (« Pluto le chiot »), appellation qui ne sera pas reprise dans les films suivants. Il faudra attendre 1940 pour que soit réalisé le deuxième film de la série, Pluto a des envies. Le titre original est un jeu de mots entre les mots « quintuplets » (« quintuplés ») et « pup » (« chiot »).

Pluto’s in a dog show against lots of snooty, high society dogs. While Mickey’s chasing after a dropped can, Pluto is making eyes at the dog next door. Pluto’s turn for judging comes, and when the judge makes fun of him, Pluto gets mad and goes after the judge, which gets them thrown out. A fire breaks out, and the dog Pluto was romancing is trapped inside; it’s up to Pluto to rescue her. www.imdb.com

Mickey and Pluto go hunting for quail. Pluto scares away the first ones they see; Mickey scolds him, then relents. He shows Pluto how to be a pointer, and they set off after another quail, but Mickey accidentally jumps on a bear’s nose, and thinks it’s Pluto. Meanwhile, Pluto finds the quail and points. The babies climb on board and start picking at his hairs, but Pluto’s been told not to move. Mickey finally comes across Pluto, who by now is covered by small animals, and realizes he’s being followed by a bear. Mickey tries to reason with the bear, and backs off a cliff, onto Pluto. www.imdb.com

Their present is a wagon so Pluto can pull them; the “Pin the Tail on Pluto” game doesn’t go quite right, and everything seems to prevent Pluto from having his birthday cake.
