Pluto’s Sweater (1949)

Today, the 1948 cartoon short Pluto’s Fledgling turns 64!
Fun fact: the adorable little fledgling, tentatively named Orville, would be his only appearance in anything Disney.

Excuse me while I die in happiness.
Popcorn Pluto, which is scheduled to be an upcoming DisneyStore.com release, retails for $24.95 and quite frankly, I have slowly begun to accept Popcorns like a alternate version of Park Starz.
Oooh, almost forgot, I had posted about Popcorn Pluto before, but this Pluto, which was on the back of the variant Mickey’s popcorn packaging, is entirely different from the final result:
Hm. No actual collar, staring straight ahead rather, different shaped eyes – interesting.
The second Pluto is from the Classic Collection, which is scheduled for a November release at $12.95 per blind box. Notably special because this is the first time a REGULAR Pluto has been created, rather than having an accessory or a particular theme. Just a good ol’ fashioned Pluto. So, so, happeh.

You’re never to old for Disney ….

Tokyo DisneySea once again capture the playful spirit of Pluto with these two costumes designed for their Halloween season, set for between September 7 to October 31.
The first two is from “Halloween Day Dream”, set in the waters of Mediterranean Harbor, the conclusion driven by the European influences as noted (the gold Venetian mask, red European cap and stylized P on the purple medallion).
The last three is most likely from “Chip n’ Dale’s Skeleton Festival”. I really, really love the skeletal “wiring” of the hat, despite it resembling a cat. Great bone medallion as well. White and purple are always a nice combo for traditional Halloween hues. I do wonder if Pluto snacks on his costume while waving to the crowds…
