Oh what cruel and unusual punishment! Finding this picture thanks to a friend of mine, only to discover a higher res picture can’t be found yet, nor does tourist snapshots show Pluto in this outfit.
Judging from the copyright, this might’ve been a 2001 promo pic for the (then new) Walt Disney Studios park. It’d also make sense why I have yet to find more pics. Probably will have to dig into the older web archives…
Anyway, a quick overview tells me Pluto is the man, er, dog charged in manning the clapboard, possibly to mark the beginning “filming” endeavors of the park. The metallic grey vest and hat is a nice contrast for ochre fur, plus the camera & strap is a nice touch. I can see why this would not be a roaming character outfit, but I wouldn’t mind a pic or five with this film hound.
