“This parade apparently featured a tribute to each of the Magic Kingdom’s six ‘lands’ (there was no ToonTown Fair, yet). Pluto was part of the “Main Street USA” entry. At first I thought he was a bartender serving a frosty beverage, but on closer inspection I see that he’s a barber, with shaving cream and a brush on his tray.”
OK, this has got to be one of my most favorite parade costumes Pluto has ever worn. Paws down. It’s the full barber shebang, right down to a strap-on plate with glued-down suds cup and brush.
I think it’s more of the bushy handlebar mustache than the red striped collar shirt that makes this costume really work. Not saying the shirt and red/black vests aren’t the best thing ever though. 😀
