Moron!! She said they took out $79 a week for rent. OMG, revelation, I bet she had? to pay taxes, too!! 7.25 X 35 =?? Got it now, math genius!!

  • syderena Says:

What they? did to you? If is not a problem to tell us of course 🙂

  • Loudeggie999 Says:

Hi I was just wondering weather u have to speak different languages and what sort of qualifications do they look for?? Thanks x

  • keseyjo Says:

No, nobody gets tipped from what I can remember. Even when I went to sit down restaurants I don’t remember putting a tip on anything. I think with some of the character meals, they add your tip onto the bill so you don’t have to worry about it. But then again, it’s been 2 years since I was in the program so things might have changed. But as far as? everything but food, nobody gets tipped.

  • keseyjo Says:

Keep in mind that this was 2 years ago.? I didn’t get paid $8/hr. I think I got paid $7.25 so that’s almost a dollar less. Plus the $79 they took out for my rent, which I’ve learned has changed a bit as well. So I usually made less than $150 a week from what I can remember. =)

  • keseyjo Says:

Good luck!! If you have anymore questions, don’t hesitate? to ask! =)

Okay, good to know. I’m going to call the contact number, and hope I can try for something that is a) outside of the canada pavillion and b)? for autumn. Thanks =)

Hey I just wanted to ask about the pay rates…clearly they’re really low and I’ve just recently been accepted into the Vacation Planner role… and will make 7.60 an hr…I was just wondering if you know if that would be a tipped role and? if visitors tip workers in Disney World? (Im not used to the tipping world as im not from the states)

  • smphares Says:

    40hrs x $8hr is $320 a week. Where did? you come up with $150???

  • keseyjo Says:

No, you don’t have to work in Epcot. I met international students who worked in the other parks. I’m just not exactly sure how they go about placing you for that. I’m sure there is probably information on the DCP website if you dig around. That, or if you get a phone? interview I would ask at that time. =)

  • alicesqueeks Says:

I’m getting conflicting ideas here. For? the international program, do you HAVE to work in your respective country at world showcase, or can you work in another park?

  • keseyjo Says:

I’m not sure, I didn’t have to do that because I’m from the states. It kind of sounds like maybe you should write why you want to do the program. Like what is motivating you to want to do the program. From what I can see? they look for positivity and for people who are excited to work. =)

  • keseyjo Says:

The only thing they took when I termed was my? white ID that I signed in and out with for my shifts. I don’t know if they deactivate the main gate pass or not, I think that’s the blue one, right? I literally left the day after I termed so I’m not sure how that works. Maybe when you term you can ask your manager if you feel comfortable with it. Good luck!

  • carlieroxable Says:

I’m on the program right now and am about to self-terminate as well. Did they take away your maingate pass or just de-activate it? I have family that’s coming to visit soon and want to spend a day in the park? when they get here, but I don’t know if I can last that long! If I quit before they get here, do you know how long it takes for the pass to be de-activated?

  • MsWonderlandFantasy Says:

Hi! Question…I’m an international student. I would like to apply for the summer program as an exchange student. what do you have to write on your motivational letter/application letter? what are they exactly looking for?? I really have no idea where to start in order to? be considered in the program!! :s

  • katemvirginia Says:

I’m sorry u had a bad experience? I did it twice and loved mine! 🙂

  • keseyjo Says:

Oh, I didn’t answer your second question in the message! I was in? merchandising, which is basically like working at a retail store. Just help the guests find stuff, check them out at the register, make sure the store looks good, that sort of thing. =)

  • keseyjo Says:

I sent you a message. =) The answer to your question is too long? to put into a comment. =P

  • thedisneyblonde Says:

if you dont mind me asking, how exactly were you treated at your place of work.. im thinking of doing this program, but i might have 2nd thoughts after i hear how you were treated exactly… what did you have to? do at your job? was it hard?

  • keseyjo Says:

    1) Definitely not. You’ll become friends with your roommates and the people you work with, plus their friends. 99% of the time I had somebody to go with. I did actually go by myself one time and I had a blast anyways. =P
    2) Auditions are semi intense I’ve heard. For costume characters it’s based on height and coordination. You’re gonna have to learn a dance and perform it with a group of people. And for princess/prince? characters it’s looks+body type. That’s the extent of what I know about it =)

  • mjsprttyngthng Says:

Hi I have two questions, I am definitely considering the program..
First is was it hard to make friends? I mean like close friends who will go with you to parks and stuff?
And second, if you know anything about the entertainment auditions, how many cp’s? get picked for those kinds of jobs?

  • klg0816 Says:

Wow, I hate to hear how people were so negatively effected from the DCP. Personally, I was a CP in 2002-03, we only made $6/hr then. I wouldn’t trade my experience for the world. I was at EPCOT in World Showcase, custodial. I’ve made such lasting friendships there that we all get together every chance we? can AND we all go back to WDW every chance we have. It was an amazing experience for me and my fellow castmates, I’d hate to see anyone discouraged.

  • Nutmeggle Says:

    its around $80-103 a week?

  • starrieguitar3 Says:

    Hey,? thanks!

  • keseyjo Says:

    I hope you? have a blast! =)
