Pluto is 60% rock, so it won’t completely evaporate, nor is it’s composition define it as either a planet or any other classification. I mean, gas giants have no solid surface, and the are believed to develop a trail of gas if it is too close to it’s star. For an object to be a planet it has to be spherical, orbit a star and be gravitationally dominate of the area it orbits. Pluto doesn’t cover the last one. Its not much smaller than our Moon anyway, and our moon is quite large.
