    Is that one where the little boy finds his pup and gets covered in ash from the fireplace? I’ve read it got cencored because some people felt it was “racist” twoards African Americans.

    This is an edited version. Note that the recording skips just as the sheep comes into view (during the parade).

    The animators had inserted a little risque humor, that was likely never caught until the advent of video tape. I have an old Beta tape with the “extra” sequence.

    That was my favorite part of the cartoon, when he opened the present and the dog popped out and licked his face.

    Many years ago I was watching with my cousins a special program with Disney´s Christmas cartoons…I remember one in which the characters were toys. There was a young sailor, a “blind” doll…she even has a surgery and finally she is capable to see! I cant find it…someone knows the way? And the title?

    Thank you so much for posting this!!!
    When I was a child it was once broadcasted on french tv, I recorded it and I used to watch the tape over and over again.
    I especially love the last part with the silly symphony 🙂

    We have this on tape and watch it every Christmas season.
