How come Mickey Mouse has a pet dog (Pluto) but he also has a best friend (goofy) who is also a dog. Goofy can talk and fuck everything up yet Pluto barks and does what he’s told (well most of the time). How did Disney work this out?

My mom and I put up a nativity scene today. Cap, Tony, and Animal are the three kings. This also features: Felix the cat playing the guitar for Jesus, Pluto the sheepdog, a monkey who can hear see and speak no evil, the world’s smallest giraffe, the bear with the holy ball (as his gift for Jesus), and a large purple wererabbit.
